GMC Electrical Pickup, Volvo C40 Recharge Worth, Lightyear One Photo voltaic Automotive Manufacturing: As we speak’s Automotive Information

After the Hummer EV models, there is a second, cheaper electric truck from the GMC brand. Volvo’s first EV-exclusive design has a price. And the Lightyear One solar car comes from the factory that built the Fisker Karma. This and more here at Green Car Reports.

GMC has confirmed that a full-size, all-electric pickup truck is in the works for the GM truck brand. It is very likely that the electric pickup will share a lot with the upcoming Chevy Silverado EV and will be built with the same Ultium drivetrain and sandwich construction that served as the basis for the GMC Hummer EV.

The Volvo C40 Recharge electric crossover will start at $ 59,845 when it hits dealerships later in the year, the automaker said Monday – although final details on efficiency and range have not yet been confirmed by the EPA.

The Finn Valmet was announced as a production partner for the solar-supplemented electric vehicle Lightyear One, which should offer a long range with fewer battery cells and less stress on the charging infrastructure. Valmet is a contract manufacturing company that has assembled the Fisker Karma along with the Think City, earlier versions of the Porsche Boxster, and others.

And over at The Car Connection: How does the 35 mpg hybrid minivan 2021 Toyota Sienna hold up on an overland trip laden with four people and gear? Very good for all mileage expectations – although the technology in the cabin could use an update.
