Nissan Canada has announced prices for its all-new 2022 Pathfinder, which will go on sale in midsummer at a starting price of $ 43,798.
Updates to the Pathfinder include new styling, a new all-wheel drive system, and new features available. While it keeps its 3.5-liter V6 as before, it is surprisingly now connected to a new nine-speed automatic transmission in place of its previous CVT.
The external dimensions of the new model are similar to those of the previous model, but are slightly wider and have more internal volume. For the first time it offers space for up to eight people or with available captain’s chairs and removable console. Up to three car seats fit in the second row and two in the third row. To maximize toilet breaks on a long journey, the Pathfinder now also includes 16 cup holders.
The new all-wheel drive system, which Nissan calls Intelligent 4WD, has seven selectable driving modes. Properly equipped, the Pathfinder can pull up to 6,000 lbs.
Other features available include a new 10.8-inch head-up display, 12.3-inch digital dashboard and ProPilot Assist technology with Navi-Link.
Four trim levels are offered, all with 4WD: The S for $ 43,798; SV at $ 46,798; SL at $ 50,398; and platinum at $ 54,398. The only option package is the SL Premium, which adds $ 1,800; and the aiming and handling fee for all trims is $ 1,860.
