Peace Lutheran exhibits basic automobile present, COVID-19 vaccine syringes | Existence
After a year-long hiatus due to the pandemic, the Peace Lutheran Church in Joplin plans to hold their annual car and truck show in aid of Crosslines of Joplin from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 31st.
This year’s event features cars, trucks, a Lego car show, and opportunities to get a COVID-19 vaccine.
The car and truck show is open to all types of classic vehicles. The first 40 vehicles registered will be given a dashboard. Door prizes are presented and lunch dishes are available. Registration on the day of the show is $ 15. All proceeds go to Crosslines.
New this year will be an exhibition of Lego cars, trucks and other vehicles. Children, teenagers and adults are cordially invited to show their Lego creations. There are no fees for the Lego competition. Special prizes are given for the most classic, creative and great Lego entries.
A COVID-19 vaccination clinic will also be held at the event, where vaccines will be administered on a walk-in basis from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Vaccines are available from the Community Clinic of Southwest Missouri and the Ozark Center with Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson vaccines. Anyone in the community who is eligible can get a shot.
Peace Lutheran is located at 3100 N. St. Louis in Joplin.
