Tesla Spec commercial on the Instances Sq. billboard – the world’s largest – for gratis to Tesla

Billy Crammer, a talented content creator who often uses Tesla as his muse, created a Tesla spec ad a while back. This ad just appeared on the world’s largest billboard in Times Square. He tweeted, apparently surprised, that his short production could be seen on the billboard, which is as long as a soccer field.

This is not your normal Tesla video, but … I just found out that my Tesla edits were showing up on the world’s largest billboard. The billboard is in Times Square and is as long as a soccer field! That feels weird πŸ˜‚ @tesla @elonmusk pic.twitter.com/xeAx1hZxMx

The video, which Billy described as “not your regular Tesla video,” was the short clip in the tweet above that showed Billy’s fan advertisement was on the big screen in Times Square.

This is just one of many examples of why Tesla doesn’t have to pay for advertising, unlike old automakers who have to spend billions on marketing. For Tesla, that unspent money will be invested in the company that is still growing.

I asked Billy how he found out his video was on the billboard in Times Square and he said to me:

β€œI was scrolling through Twitter and noticed a video was posted from Times Square showing the ad. When I looked through it, I thought the video looked very similar. I paste the ad into my editing software and place my video side by side. Lo and behold, it was my video that was used for the display.

β€œThen I realized that this ad was actually running in Times Square on a billboard that happens to be the largest in the world. The billboard is also absolutely massive; 25,000 square meters, eight stories high and as long as a soccer field. The billboard is seen by around 300,000 people every day, so it’s definitely a great presence for Tesla. It feels really cool to have your work on display like this, and especially for a company like Tesla.

β€œI’m not sure who or how it was featured in Times Square. It’s a very compelling secret as this commercial is the largest and most expensive billboard in the world. I think the rent is around $ 100,000 per day. Do you have any theories? “

It could be an investor, or even another company that has the budget and is a backer of Tesla at the same time. For Tesla, an ad in Times Square at no cost to the company and at no cost (or payment) to the artist who created the ad to support Tesla and show off their skills – well, that’s an incredible example, the Tesla is taking the right steps by not paying for advertisements.
